“Just spending another minute in this connection with all life as you consciously inter-be with your breath and through your heart.” – Hillary Bittman

In this beautiful guided meditation, Hillary invited those on our Thursday Warrior Circle call to experience our deep connection with all of life. As chiropractors, this awareness of interconnectedness can profoundly impact how we approach our work and our patients.

Imagine bringing this sense of “inter-being” into your practice. How might it change the way you see your patients? Instead of isolated individuals with specific ailments, you might perceive them as integral parts of a vast, interconnected web of life. This shift in perspective can open up new possibilities for healing and transformation.

Today’s challenge: Before your first patient, take a minute to connect with all life, just as Hillary guides in the video. Feel your breath connecting you to the world around you. Then, carry this awareness into your interactions throughout the day. Notice how it influences your touch, your words, and your overall presence.

Share in the comments: How did this practice of “inter-being” affect your work today? What insights or experiences arose from this interconnected perspective?

“We can always trust our heart’s wisdom”

Posted in Mentoring, Seminars & Workshops | Leave a comment

Challenge yourself to consciously connect with your heart’s wisdom

In a world of complex diagnoses, treatment plans, labels and conditions, remember this profound truth: our heart’s wisdom is always clear and trustworthy.

Think about a time when you followed your heart’s guidance in your practice. Perhaps you had a hunch about a patient’s condition that turned out to be accurate, or you felt compelled to say something that deeply resonated with a client. These moments of heart-led intuition can be powerful catalysts for healing.

Today, challenge yourself to consciously connect with your heart’s wisdom. Before each patient interaction, take a moment to center yourself and ask your heart, “What does this person truly need?” Be open to the insights that arise, even if they’re not what you initially expected.

Share a story in the comments about a time when trusting your heart led to a breakthrough in your practice. Your experience could inspire others to tune into their own heart’s wisdom!

A Vision of you breaking through a limitation

Coaching tip from Dr. Stew! Think about an area in your practice where you feel stuck or limited. Now, imagine breaking through that limitation. See yourself thriving beyond it. What does that look like? How does it feel?

Today’s challenge: Identify one self-imposed limitation in your practice. Write it down. Now, write down its opposite – a vision of you breaking through that limitation. What’s the first step you can take towards that vision?

Share your limitations and your breakthrough vision in the comments. Your courage might inspire a fellow chiropractor to break through their own limitations!

” Take a moment to get still and silent”

“When we get silent and listen with the ears of our heart, we hear stories of power and inspiration and upliftment.” – Hillary Bittman

Every time we get still and sit in silence with a flower or mindfully eat an apple or sit by a river, it all has stories of life and connection to share with us. In the busy world of a chiropractic practice, family and other activities and responsibilities, how often do we take the time to truly listen – not just with our ears, but with our hearts?

Hillary reminds us of the profound wisdom available to us when we pause and connect deeply with the world around us.

Imagine bringing this level of presence and heart-centered listening to your practice. How might it change your interactions with patients? What new insights might you gain about their conditions, their lives, and their potential for healing?

Challenge for today: Before your next patient, take a moment to get still and silent. Listen with the “ears of your heart.” What do you hear? What do you feel? Carry this awareness into your interaction and notice how it shifts the energy and effectiveness of your care.

Share your experience with heart-centered listening in your practice. How did it impact your work? What did you discover?

Reconnect our Imagination with our Hearts

As chiropractors, we’re trained to use our minds to identify and correct subluxations. But how often do we connect our powerful imagination with the wisdom of our hearts?

Stew reminds us that our imagination, when linked solely to our analytical mind, can become entangled with limitations and fears. We might imagine worst-case scenarios, doubt our abilities, or limit our vision of what’s possible for our patients and our practice.

But what happens when we consciously reconnect our imagination with our hearts? We tap into a wellspring of compassion, intuition, and expansive possibility. We see our patients not just as cases to solve, but as whole beings with unlimited potential for healing.

Today, try this exercise: Before each patient interaction, take a deep breath and imagine a golden thread connecting your mind to your heart. As you work, let your imagination flow from this heart-centered place. Notice how it changes your perception, your touch, and your overall approach.

The incredible potential our imagination holds

When Dr. Jim Sigafoose was seeing 17 people a day, he caught the vision of seeing 80 people a day. He started seeing that in his mind. He started telling people he was seeing 80 people a day. And it wasn’t a matter of weeks before he was actually adjusting 80 people a day.

This powerful anecdote reminds us of the incredible potential our imagination holds. As chiropractors, we have the ability to shape our reality through the power of our vision. But are we using this power to its fullest extent?

Think about your current practice. What limitations have you accepted as “reality”? How many patients do you believe you can effectively serve in a day? What level of healing do you think is possible?

Now, let’s challenge those assumptions. Imagine doubling your patient load while maintaining or even improving the quality of care. Visualize your practice thriving beyond your current expectations. See yourself making an even greater impact in your community.

Remember, this isn’t about pushing yourself to burnout. It’s about expanding your vision of what’s possible and allowing your imagination to guide you towards greater service and fulfillment.

Today, take a moment to write down your current “reality” in your practice. Then, beside it, write down a vision that excites and maybe even scares you a little. What steps can you take to start aligning your reality with this vision?

Share your current reality and your expanded vision in the comments. Let’s inspire each other to dream bigger and achieve more! 📈🔮💪

“Web of Love”

In the hustle of running a chiropractic practice, it’s easy to forget that we’re part of something much larger. Hillary’s guided meditation during our weekly Warrior Circle call (comment for the link) reminds us of our place in the vast web of love and connection that surrounds us.

Our work isn’t just about physical adjustments – it’s about tapping into this universal web of love and channeling it through our hands and hearts to our patients. When we remember this, our work becomes not just a job, but a sacred act of connection and healing.

Take a moment to breathe with Hillary. Feel yourself as part of this web of love. How might this awareness change your interactions with patients? How could it transform the energy in your practice?

Today, as you work with each patient, consciously imagine yourself connected to this web of love. Visualize healing energy flowing through you and into your patient, then rippling out into the world. Notice how this shifts your experience and potentially your results.

Share how connecting to this “web of love” impacts your practice. Your experience could inspire fellow chiropractors to approach their work with renewed purpose and connection!
