“When we get silent and listen with the ears of our heart, we hear stories of power and inspiration and upliftment.” – Hillary Bittman

Every time we get still and sit in silence with a flower or mindfully eat an apple or sit by a river, it all has stories of life and connection to share with us. In the busy world of a chiropractic practice, family and other activities and responsibilities, how often do we take the time to truly listen – not just with our ears, but with our hearts?

Hillary reminds us of the profound wisdom available to us when we pause and connect deeply with the world around us.

Imagine bringing this level of presence and heart-centered listening to your practice. How might it change your interactions with patients? What new insights might you gain about their conditions, their lives, and their potential for healing?

Challenge for today: Before your next patient, take a moment to get still and silent. Listen with the “ears of your heart.” What do you hear? What do you feel? Carry this awareness into your interaction and notice how it shifts the energy and effectiveness of your care.

Reconnect our Imagination with our Hearts

As chiropractors, we’re trained to use our minds to identify and correct subluxations. But how often do we connect our powerful imagination with the wisdom of our hearts?

Stew reminds us that our imagination, when linked solely to our analytical mind, can become entangled with limitations and fears. We might imagine worst-case scenarios, doubt our abilities, or limit our vision of what’s possible for our patients and our practice.

But what happens when we consciously reconnect our imagination with our hearts? We tap into a wellspring of compassion, intuition, and expansive possibility. We see our patients not just as cases to solve, but as whole beings with unlimited potential for healing.

Today, try this exercise: Before each patient interaction, take a deep breath and imagine a golden thread connecting your mind to your heart. As you work, let your imagination flow from this heart-centered place. Notice how it changes your perception, your touch, and your overall approach.

The incredible potential our imagination holds

When Dr. Jim Sigafoose was seeing 17 people a day, he caught the vision of seeing 80 people a day. He started seeing that in his mind. He started telling people he was seeing 80 people a day. And it wasn’t a matter of weeks before he was actually adjusting 80 people a day.

This powerful anecdote reminds us of the incredible potential our imagination holds. As chiropractors, we have the ability to shape our reality through the power of our vision. But are we using this power to its fullest extent?

Think about your current practice. What limitations have you accepted as “reality”? How many patients do you believe you can effectively serve in a day? What level of healing do you think is possible?

Now, let’s challenge those assumptions. Imagine doubling your patient load while maintaining or even improving the quality of care. Visualize your practice thriving beyond your current expectations. See yourself making an even greater impact in your community.

Remember, this isn’t about pushing yourself to burnout. It’s about expanding your vision of what’s possible and allowing your imagination to guide you towards greater service and fulfillment.

Today, take a moment to write down your current “reality” in your practice. Then, beside it, write down a vision that excites and maybe even scares you a little. What steps can you take to start aligning your reality with this vision?

Share your current reality and your expanded vision in the comments. Let’s inspire each other to dream bigger and achieve more! 📈🔮💪

The power to refocus our imagination

As chiropractors, we’re trained to see beyond the surface. But how often do we let our “out of focus” imagination cloud our vision? Our perception is deeply influenced by our state of consciousness.

Think about a challenging patient case or a difficult situation in your practice. Are you seeing the whole picture, or is your imagination creating limitations? Perhaps you’re overlooking potential solutions or missing signs of progress because your imagination is fixated on obstacles.

The good news is, we have the power to refocus our imagination. By aligning it with our heart’s wisdom and our healing intentions, we can see our patients and our practice with renewed clarity and possibility.

Today, when faced with a challenge, pause and ask yourself: “Is what I’m seeing the whole truth of this situation? Or am I just seeing the imaginary seeing the imaginary bars of a self-imposed cage?” Then, consciously refocus your imagination on potential, growth, and healing.

Share a time when shifting your perspective revealed new possibilities in your practice. Your insight could be the spark another chiropractor or student needs!

Supercharge your Imagination

Remember when you were a child, using your imagination to become anything you wanted? As Stew points out, that power hasn’t left us – we’re still using our imagination every day. The question is, are we using it to limit ourselves or to grow?

In our chiropractic practices, it’s easy to fall into routine and forget the incredible power of our imagination. We might unconsciously imagine limitations – “I can only help X number of patients,” or “This case is too difficult.” But what if we consciously chose to imagine growth, healing, and possibilities instead?

Think back to why you became a chiropractor. What did you imagine you could achieve? It’s time to reconnect with that visionary part of yourself. Imagine stepping into the vision right now. How does it feel?

Share one way you’re going to use your imagination to grow your practice this week. Let’s inspire each other to dream bigger and achieve more!

Ready to dive deeper into finding inner freedom?

As chiropractors and healers, we often focus on external factors – patient numbers, treatment plans, office logistics. But true freedom, as Stew reminds us, comes from within. How can we cultivate this inner freedom in our practice and lives?

Consider the constraints you face daily. How many are truly external, and how many are self-imposed? Perhaps it’s time to challenge those inner limitations and expand our sense of what’s possible in our healing work.

When we free ourselves internally, we open up new possibilities for growth, compassion, and impact in our practice. We become more resilient in the face of challenges and more open to the joy of serving others.

Worry is the misuse of IMAGINATION

In chiropractic, it’s easy to let worry creep in. Will this care plan work? Can I help enough people? Am I making a real difference?

But as Stew reminds us, borrowing wisdom from an old saying, worry is simply a misuse of our powerful imagination.

Mark Twain took this idea further, saying, “My life has been full of terrible misfortunes, most of which never happened.” How often do we, as healers, fall into this trap? We imagine worst-case scenarios, project our fears onto our patients, or limit our potential based on imagined obstacles.

But what if we redirected that imaginative power? Instead of worrying about what might go wrong, let’s vividly imagine what could go right. Picture your patients thriving, your practice flourishing, and your impact growing beyond what you previously thought possible.

Today, catch yourself when worry arises. Pause, take a deep breath, and consciously shift your imagination to a positive outcome. How might this change your energy, your interactions, and ultimately, your results?

Share a time when shifting from worry to positive imagination made a difference in your practice or life. Let’s inspire each other to use our imagination wisely! 💭✨

“We inter-exist. We inter-are. We inter-be.” – Stew Bittman

In the healing arts, we often talk about PERSONAL growth. But what if true growth comes from recognizing our profound interconnectedness? As Stew reminds us in this clip, we are more than interdependent or interconnected – we inter-are.

This concept of ‘inter-being,’ borrowed from the wisdom of Thich Nhat Hanh, invites us to see the world and our practice in a new light. Nothing has a separate existence. Everything, including our thoughts, our actions, and the events in our lives, comes into being because of factors created by everything else.

As chiropractors and healers, how might this perspective change our approach? When we adjust a patient, we’re not just aligning their spine – we’re participating in a complex web of interconnected events that ripple out into their life, their family, their work, and beyond.

Reflect on your practice today. How can you bring this awareness of ‘inter-being’ into your interactions with patients? How might it change the way you view challenges or successes in your work?

Let’s embrace this profound truth: “Your well-being depends on me, and my well-being depends on you.” Share how this perspective might transform your practice! 🌐💖
