This question invites us to reimagine the very foundation of our practice. It’s not just about spinal alignment—it’s about an innate to innate connection, heart to heart.

We dive deep into transformative questions like these in our weekly Warrior Circle. Every Thursday at 12:30pm PT / 8:30pm UK, we gather to inspire each other and meditate on what it truly means to be a heart-centered healer.

12 Days to Your Heart!

In the whirlwind of your family life, chiropractic practice and community activities, how often do you pause to truly connect with yourself?

Let’s get fully present. Close your eyes, breathing in and out of your heart. See if there’s anything you’re still attached to from this day. And then, like a dandelion flower in seed, just blow it into the ethers, into the sky, and watch it take off.

Imagine bringing this level of presence into each patient interaction. How might it change your touch, your words, your very presence in the room? As you release the day’s attachments, you create space for genuine connection and intuitive healing.

Today, challenge yourself to breathe into your heart for a few moments before each patient. Notice what shifts in your energy and your focus. How does it feel to approach each new patient when you are in your heart?

6 Daily Practices for Couples

1️⃣ Monitor: Each day one of us is the Monitor. Basically, the Monitor is the one in charge of the energy that day and making sure that all the couple-related things to do actually get done.

2️⃣ Mornings: It’s important for us to start the day in a calm and grounded way. Generally, we find that the way we wake up and face the day is how the rest of the day is likely to go.

3️⃣ Meditation: Stew usually gets up 1 to 2 hours before Hillary and so has already gotten a lot accomplished. He is all energetic and ready to share; she is slow to get going in the morning. Meditating together gives us the perfect meeting place. Meditation is the key tool we use to remind ourselves not only of our intentions for how we want to show up in the world during our day, but how we want to show up for each other.

4️⃣ Affirmation of Connection: Right after meditating, we join hands and look into each other’s eyes for a moment before closing them again as the Monitor leads us in a short positive affirmation of our love.

5️⃣ Check-In: We then check-in with each other, which means that each of us, Monitor first of course, gives a brief but honest evaluation of how we’re feeling physically and emotionally. We find this to be an incredibly vital part of how we choose to start our day.

6️⃣To-Do List: We are big proponents of writing down everything we want to accomplish each day and we actually encourage you to do that as well. We increase the odds of actually getting things done when we write them down and we like success stories. Finally, we kiss and go on our merry way into our day!
