Find your “power place.” You may already have one. This is a place (preferably in nature) in which you feel safe, connected & at peace.
A place from which you can easily draw energy & strength.
This idea came from my mentor, Jim Sigafoose. Here’s what I’ve done with it and what I suggest for you.
Spend as much time in your power place as possible…and then spend even more time there.
Use your power place to recharge, to renew & to reclaim your heart.
But don’t wait until you’re aware that you’re depleted or burnt out before using your power place…visit there liberally & “preventatively” even when you’re feeling good!
You can do lots of productive things in your power place, such as
- meditating
- visualizing
- breathing in & out of your heart
- contemplating what you’re grateful for
You can even “work” in your power place:
- planning promotional events
- tweaking procedures
as long as these things don’t take you out of your heart.
And, even if you can’t physically get there, if you spend enough time in your power place, you can easily be there in your imagination.
Your power place is ultimately right there in your heart.
